CHP launches crackdown on cell phone use while driving


Today is the first of two days the California Highway Patrol and police agencies in the Sacramento area are dedicating this month to "zero tolerance" of cell phone use or texting while driving. Anyone caught talking or texting on a cell phone that is not a hands-free device today or on Aug. 18 will be given a citation, the CHP said.
