Bad drivers with Sacramento County and city addresses might want to skirt the city of Roseville.
For the last 13 months, Roseville has imposed fees to recoup costs of providing emergency services for non-resident drivers who cause crashes.
Now, the city of Sacramento is considering doing the same thing. On Sept. 14, the City Council is expected to consider the fees for nonresident drivers who cause crashes. The fees would range from $435 for the Fire Department's basic response, to $2,275 for crashes involving hazardous-waste leaks, driver extrication and helicopter transports.
