" I just found out that I have been overcharged for flood insurance for the past 10 years. The original agent evidently made the error and I assumed that it was correct. I transferred the insurance to a new company and they said the price was $225 per year. I had been paying $750 per year. The company refuses to refund me the overcharges. Should I go to the government to complain or am I out of luck?"
Thanks

Flood insurance is a fixed price set by the Federal Government.
If you were paying $750 a year it maybe you had more coverage than you do now. There are more coverage options than just covering the building. There are options on how much contents coverage you want too. Check the government flood website below.
Premiums also depend on if you have a one or two story home, if you have a basement or not, and lots of other stuff. Just make sure ...........
