Sacramento region cops plan St Patrick's Day DUI crackdown

Remember to be safe when driving on St. Patrick's Day.  Don't drink and drive and watch out for the other driver!  In this article from the Sacramento Bee, law enforcement will be out watching and waiting. 

Law enforcement agencies throughout the Sacramento region encourage St. Patrick's Day revelers those who drink not to drive.  Agencies in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo counties will deploy DUI task forces Thursday.

In Placer County, additional roving saturation patrols will be on duty in Roseville, keeping an eye out for people driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

In El Dorado County, St. Patrick's Day enforcement activities will include roving saturation patrols in the cities of Placerville and South Lake Tahoe.

In Yolo County, additional patrol officers will be roving the streets of Davis, Woodland, West Sacramento and Winters.

In addition to St. Patrick's Day enforcement activities, the Sacramento Police Department this week is partnering with the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control to combat underage drinking by focusing on those individuals who provide alcohol to minors.
