Sales of new vehicles projected to be higher

This month's new- vehicle retail sales pace nationwide is significantly beating expectations, according to Westlake Village-based J.D. Power and Associates.

Power, which gathers transaction data from more than 8,900 auto franchisees throughout the United States, projected that December new vehicle sales will come in at 936,300 units, up 19 percent from a year ago.
