More than 1,200 small and midsize businesses were sold in California in January, the highest sales total for the month since 2008, reported business sales tracker BizBen.com
Sacramento County also saw a January increase, with 34 sales compared with 27 in 2010. The January 2011 total was still less than half of the 77 small- and midsize businesses sold in 2008.
