Should Sacramento repeal its 'Crash Tax'

Given that Roseville has now repealed its "crash tax," I thought this might be a good time to again gauge how people feel about Sacramento's fee program.

With that in mind, I've posted a poll on the blog. Many of you have already emailed and called me with your opinions, but I thought we'd put it to an informal vote. Look down page along the right rail to vote.

As a reminder, the Sacramento City Council voted last month to enact a fire cost recovery program that will charge nonresidents causing automobile wrecks in the city requiring a response from the fire department. City officials said the policy will generate between $300,000 and $500,000 annually for their battered budget.
